Line Gear Rentals started in 2021 to provide high-quality rental equipment to utility powerline contractors, electric cooperatives, and investor-owned utilities.
Most of our equipment is designed and manufactured in partnership with White’s Welding, a trusted fabricator in the energy industry.
We’re committed to providing outstanding service to our customers and offer a simple, straightforward process for rental equipment. Our central location offers rental equipment for utility contractors and companies across the United States, either for local pickup or delivery.
Jerry Whitehead, President
Jerry Whitehead is a seasoned professional in the utility equipment industry. He brings 20 years of utility equipment management in rental, sales, and leasing experience to support Line Gear Rentals success.
Jerry started his equipment career with Utility Equipment Leasing Corporation (UELC), which provided equipment support to utility contractors, cooperative electric, and investor-owned utilities with rentals, sales, and leasing programs. The full scope of equipment support provided included service, maintenance, and repairs.
In 2012, UELC was acquired by NESCO Sales and Rentals to complement their fleet of over 4,200 pieces of equipment. Jerry transitioned in the acquisition with NESCO, which provided the same offerings as UELC with a larger fleet and more diverse equipment in the utility industry.
From the beginning of Line Gear Rentals, Jerry has been leading the charge to build the company and guide its rentals, sales, and operations.
